Spinal Stenosis: The spine condition where the spaces between the vertebrae of et spine get narrowed is termed spinal stenosis. This is mainly related to age-related changes like bone spur formation, herniation of disk, or even being seen after injury or as a result of tumours. The spine affects the cervical or the neck region and the lumbar or the lower back region. While space narrows down, the nerves passing through those spaces tend to get compressed and cause pain, tingling, and numbness in the affected area. Symptoms like localised pain in the spine and radiating pain in the leg, referred to as sciatica, are seen in the patients.
